It seems that Obama is overly fond of the red tie with white stripes. It occurred to me about a week ago that I keep seeing this tie. I'd expect that he'd have dozens of ties from which to choose.

Interesting. GWB favored a light blue, supposedly to subconsciously mitigate the idea that he was brash and overly warlike. Maybe Obama's red tie is supposed to communicate that despite his liberalism, he will be strong.

Paired with a navy suit and a white shirt, it replicates the colours of the American flag.

That tie looks much better on Obama than does the light blue. It's better for his coloring, and it adds power to someone whose physical features don't suggest much dominance.

I don't know which color he actually wears the most, but for some reason this is the tie (and the look) I most associate with him. I think it's pretty flattering.

Yeah, that's the one I always think of, too.

I think the blue looks great, and yes the knots are nicely done.

What brand of tie does Pres. Obama wear?

The designs and knots are reminiscent of Charvet.

I think he was wearing a black suit either yesterday or the day before. Guess he doesn't read this forum.

I agree. After the white tie fiasco, some on here are probably looking for a new country.

Just remember not everyone here is from the USA - as much as I admire the man he's NOT my President.
