Just bought a pair of Montague's in brown...love em...wish I could buy a couple more styles. A couple questions:

1. Anyone know anything about Horween Predator leather? I cant seem to find any info on or what the predator line is.

2. Is the China factory basically the same as the one in MI, just in China?

3. The leather on this model seems to have a softer, dull finish, and I am leery of a sno seal in favor of a spray-on treatment? Any advice?

Thanks

I received my Ascots today and I'm very happy with the physical product. I normally wear a size 10.5 in sneakers, and was thinking of going for a 10, but Revolve was sold out and only had 9.5. I took my chances with the 9.5 and they fit great! I'm definitely stoked on these boots.

I bought the Linden which is the oxford version of the Ascot. I sized down 1/2 and they are too big. I would agree size down a full size on these.

I checked out the oxfords on Wolverine's 1000 Mile website and they look very nice. How much did they cost you, and from where?

hey, I've had a pair of the Original 1000 Mile boots for a month now and I feel like the toe area of the sole is wearing unnecessarily. Would it make sense to get a toe tap put on the boot, or is that just the first part to wear out?

How do you properly treat the tan addisons and will adding any of that stuff change the color much?

No, I have a pair of the 1000 mile and ascots. The leather on the 1000 mile is much thicker/heavier quality. You can tell the ascot is chinese leather.

Hey everyone. Got a pair of 1000 mile boots from wolverine recently and must say I am very impressed. I have only one question that you guys can probably help me out with. Does anybody know if it's possible to have rubber soles put on similar to the sole on the Red Wing GT or Alden Indy.
Something like the first picture here http://theagatineeyelet.wordpress.co...1/go-commando/, not a complete resole, but just rubber on the front part of the boot. Anyone done anything like this to their 1000 miler or is it not even worth the trouble. I have no clue about this and I've been following these forums for a while and never posted, so here is my first attempt. You guys have proved invaluable with your knowledge so far, so maybe someone can point me in the right direction about this.

Many thanks,
Jon-Michael

I had some cats paw sole savers put on the front of mine. Its just a thin piece of rubber they glue and put a few nails on. The lady at the shop did it instead of the man and fucked it up. She put nails too long and put a small nick in a few parts where they went through. I was able to clip them and squeeze them with pliers to look ok, but fuck i almost shit myself.

Make sure if you do that a person who knows what they are doing does it. I could have done a better job myself. If you want pictures of it I can post some. I'm still angry about it but figure if i mess with them much now will make it worse until it needs to be replaced.

Ascot porn. They're coming along nicely.

Thinking of replacing those wooden block heels with rubber vibrams. Anyone else tried this?

Hey I'm looking to invest in a pair of Wolverine's. Can anyone suggest a place in Toronto that has em or an online store that ships to Canada?
