In the description on the website says cowhide. That looks like its a vintage advert in the lookbook.

Interesting, that is why I asked. Certainly very misleading juxtaposing the "vintage" ad with the boot like that.

Thanks for the insight.

I used to live 20 minutes away from Rockford, MI. I wonder if they will sell these in their factory store?

We ordered up 1000 mile boots today. I'll actually be seeing samples next week if all goes well.

More later including our pricing.

Awesome. Were you only about to order the 1000 Mile boots now, or are the other models also ready to be ordered by dealers? If they aren't, do you know how much later they'll be released?

I've always had a pair of Wolverine boots in the closet, though I wear them less and less as I get older. I buy them only from a small shoe repair store owned by a colorful, crusty character who swears he only stocks the best models. Often I go in there just to listen to this guy talk. I am curious to see if he will stock any of the Heritage boots.

I absolutely love that Wolverine Gentleman Ascot in black.

The whole line is being shown now only to select stores. They will be available 8/1/09(ish). With Wolverine, it is always a wait and see if they all get produced. If not enough stores order a style, they don't make it. The 1000 mile in Rust is a go for sure. Brown and Black is getting some orders, so they'll probably make it too. Haven't heard on the rest of the line. I'll be able to order all of them after 8/1/09. I have the Rust 1000 Mile coming in a size run in August. The closer to August it gets, the more I'll know about the rest of the line.

Sounds good. I'm excited to hear more about these.

I will be highly disappointed if the Brown Garrison collection boot doesn't get made. I'd buy that boot with 3 pints of my blood and my first born child. (just don't tell it's mom where I live or what I changed my name to)

From what I've been told this project has been in the works for 2 years. I certainly want to see the whole line make it for Fall. There's more than one style I'm looking at.

Anyone have any idea what the price point will be for the 1000 mile boots?

I have seen $300-350 thrown around quite a bit. That means the rest of the line should be under the price of a pair of Iron Rangers. It's a no brainer if that's the way it plays out.

Yea, I'm sold for a 1000 Mile boot.

Not going to be needing these for the summer, but come fall, I'll get. Loving them.
