Band of Outsiders - Page 38

Finally receieved my BoO shirts. Fit is awesome! The overdyes are a lot slimmer than my W+H shirts but the length is roughly the same. The batiste has a more forgiving cut just like I've read. I'd say the W+H are similar to the batistes in a way.

Now, how do I get more buttons from BoO? :P

usually if you e-mail boo they will send you some. i also told you and stated in one of my for sale threads either here or sufu that overdyes fit a lot slimmer out of all the cuts they have. batiste is the most forgiving next i'd say is the twill. i'm glad you like the shirts that being said guys i have a chocolate brown overdye in xs left for sale icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Hey, i'm a little worried about sizing. I'm normally an XS in Gitman Vintages. Do i remain the same size for BoO's? cheers

I'm a small in Gitman, Medium BoO. I size up 1 from Gitman in BoO. They run too short for me to wear in size small at 5'10." They fit me perfectly in medium granted I layer a tee shirt underneath. I have a small BoO in their heavier flannels from last fall which fit me great but are sort of short (these ran larger).

I'd say there are a couple of factors in selecting your size. Since you take an XS in Gitman I'd assume you are shorter then me. If you can deal with the length of an XS BoO it is possible you are the same size in both. Many size up 1 for BoO. I'd suggest finding measurements, Context probably has them for both BoO and Gitman. Length is the thing that will definitely be short in Band shirts.

I don't know. Sizing up almost defeats the purpose of buying BoO in the first place. I assuming you buy it for the slim cut. The length is short cuz its meant to be untucked (hopefully you're not super tall though). If you want this kind of style I would go with your usual gitman size, xs. And instead of sizing up, I would just go for another brand altogether because it clearly isn't for you if you need to size up--plenty of decent choices out there.

apparition is right this is why i don't like when people complain about bands length then size up to get more length when there is a lot of other button up choices to get your lengths and a similar style cut.

Yup, it's a sports shirt. You're literally only paying for the cut, and maybe some of the fabric designs. Maybe.

A medium BoO still fits me perfectly in the chest and shoulders compared to Gitman size small. I also get more room in the collar. It fits maybe slightly loose without a tee underneath, but I wear a tee under my BD's most of the time anyway. All in all, a medium BoO fits me pretty much perfectly, whereas a Gitman medium is way too big on me. I don't size up in BoO just for the length.

Same fit for me, BoO med and Gitman small. I'd prefer the BoO to be a tad slimmer in the waist, but it's nothing really to complain about

Perfect fit for me is somewhere right in between Gitman Small and BoO medium, I think Epaulet S actually fits that category pretty well. It is only slight differences, though. All three fit me well enough that I buy them and wear them without tailoring, for the most part. Anyway, I think most people need to size up in BoO.

I never thought about this, but, do people normally wear a button up without some kind of undershirt? eh.gif i always assumed it was a given whenever people talk about shirt fits around here. I suppose when it comes to BoO......

Nothing comes between me and my button up. Nothing.

I'm not sure where you're from, but I know absolutely no one who wears undershirts.
