Both are excellent albums. Which do you like better?

Leave this threak, hater.

I'm not a huge fan of their stuff other than these two albums. All praise they received for this pair is deserved (although too many critics slobbered over OK Computer's hypothetical dick). And even though too many assholes think it's cool to say they like Radiohead, that alone does not imply that the band is no good.

I voted of OK Computer. The Bends is perhaps more listenable, but OK Computer is what made Radiohead into something remarkable.

I think the Bends is a better album, but barely. They are really hard to compare because the styles are so different. The Bends is an incredible rock album. OK Computer is something totally different. It is spacey and depressing (in a really good way). Definitely more innovative. EDIT: I agree with chronoaug below. I can tell OK Computer is a more complete masterpiece, but I like the Bends better. Kind of how I know a blonde bombshell is a conventional beauty, but prefer another cute girl who is more my type.

OK Computer to me is without question the better album. But that's not the thread question. The bends is a personal favorite.

i like radiohead alright, but I think I am with kunk.

I voted for OK Computer; I still listen to it about once a week. It was the first album I bought with my own money.

However, I would have to say I like Kid A the best.

Which one had the robots?

I couldn't vote. "TB" made me want to learn to play guitar, "OKC" made me buy the guitar. "TB" made me fall in love with Radiohead, "OKC" made me fall in love with music. I'd rather Radiohead make another "TB" than "OKC" just so that they'd go back to learning how to use a distortion pedal or two. I guess overall, though, I'm inclined to say "OKC" just because I feel like I identify with it more than "TB" but I simply don't want to be grouped with the critics and the people who only have it as their lone RH album. "OKC" is the better album, "TB" is the one I'm most attached to. If I choose just one there is no way I could live without the other. Sincerely, Who (radioheadsuperfan#1)

Agreed, but didn't they already pretty much make another OK Computer via In Rainbows?

the Bends.

although i think Kid a and In Rainbows are better yet

I think Radiohead is the perfect example of talent, creativity and listen-ability that make a great popular rock act. A prime example of the music industry succeeding in both quality and profitability.

Perhaps theyre a bit over popular, because im sure a great deal of their fans don't understand a lot of what is going on in the music.

Despite some similarity, i think IR has quite a different merit

They're kinda like Pink Floyd -- lots of crap mixed in with listenable stuff and a mob of fans that see way more than what's actually there.

I have to say that's the first time I've heard that particular comparison. I'm not sure what it's drawn from.
