In addition to stripes, classic patterns are houndstooth, birdseye, herringbone, plaid, windowpane, and argyle. You can see some examples of some of these patterns at Ben Silver

Thanks for your advices, we will work on those designs as thicker socks.

I just ordered two pairs of Viccels to see if they're any good. I ordered mid-calf, in claret and green. I have heard from other people that the green is a little... well, bright green. I wanted primarily to wear them with dark olive flannels I got from PCC. Will post an update when I get the socks.

Do you mean horizontal striped ?
How would it be black and gray horizontal stripes ?
Do you any favorite design ?

Do you have any plans to produce woolen socks? I don't like cotton socks, but would purchase many pairs if you offered woolens.

Thanks,

Stuart

Wool yarn cant become socks without polyamid nor other synthetic yarns as supporter. But we are against to synthetic materials in clothes even socks have direct connection to skin, we dont think synthetic materials are healthy for human body. I think you may try our thicker 100% cotton socks when they are ready.

I am no great fan of synthetics myself, but I feel that cotton socks (regardless of thickness) retain too much moisture, and lose their insulating properties to boot.

Wool wicks moisture away from the foot, and keeps on insulating, and is therefore much more comfortable for me than cotton. Even if it needs to be blended with a little bit of synthetic.

Good luck with your product.

Thanks,

Stuart

Actually we have some clients who was wearing wool-blend socks and they liked Viccel.
"OK... Today is the second day I have worn a pair of Viccel socks and they are very comfortable. I was actually shocked at how much my feet can breath in all cotton socks. "
Viccel Socks are double mercerized and gazzed and have smooth surface it can transfer sweat out from you feet. You can have a look at this link for more reviews about Viccel socks.

OK mister. I've ordered a pair of Navy OTC from your site. Once worn, I'll post a review here.

Thanks,

Stuart

I ordered two pairs of mid-calf socks from Viccel based on the reviews from this thread. I initially thought about ordering a lot more but I'm glad I didn't.

Likes:
-No noticeable shrinkage after wash
-Great price

Dislikes:
-There are scuffs and loose thread in a couple of areas after first time wearing. I've never experienced this with any other socks.
-Top of sock is a little too tight, yet the socks don't stay up for long.
-The points where the seams end, in both the toe and heel area, are uncomfortable.

Unfortunately they do slide down over the calf a couple of times during the day. Reported this to Viccel. They suggested that I might have a longer calf than normal and are sending me 5 new pairs of a longer model.
That's what I call service!

Cheers

The replacements arrived yesterday. Tried a pair today. Perfect! They stayed up even though I was running around the office and the plant all day.
The originals are labeled EU 43-45, US 9-11.5, R. The replacements are labeled EU 44-46.5, US 10-12,5; L. I take a UK 9.5 which is about EU 43 - 44. Anyway, they fit perfectly and again functioned as promised.
Thanks Kemal and Viccel. Will soon be ordering some more.

Cheers

Kemal, how do you handle receiving payment for shipment to Canada. It may be my account BUT when I try to pay via Paypal it has a message something like, "system will not allow shipment to below address" (and my cdn address is there).

Paypal doesn't allow em or en dashes in your address. You need to use a regular dash (how they get converted is beyond me, but I had the exact same problem).
