I think it's more like Commando, but with Liam Neeson instead of Arnie. And without Freddie Mercury as the bad guy (unfortunately).

So yeah, it's great.

It had potential but they removed all the tension by making it a shallow action movie about half way through. It wasn't terrible.

Guess you didn't see the "In theatres" part? Actually it's the case a lot of times with indie movies or ones where they're not yet sure if American audiences will like it. They do a kind of "test run" in places like Korea first. There are quite a few movies I've seen in Korea before they came out in the states, though never a huge blockbuster (Dark Knight for example).
