I like these in the same way I like mimetic architecture. If you want to do it wrong, do it right.

I see what they were going for, but think it was done better here:

This is solid.

It took only 10 years to renovate and rejuvenate one of Amsterdam's main museums, the Rijksmuseum, and now we get a look:

That looks fucking brilliant.

Agreed- Now I want to go back. We were there about five years when it was condensed. Is it now fully open?

You should really see it again if not for the art, then for the building. (And for the other museums in Amsterdam of course.)

They broke out the three stories that they had foolishly build in the atrium and turned it into the entrance/reception.
So much light.

Hope to get there - loved Amsterdam for the museums and just sitting at the cafe's an people watching...

Wow I went there years ago a couple of times and I remember it being awesome but dingy inside.
