Do most homes of "architectural significance" look uncomfortable for the inhabitants?

Yes, most of them have long metal spikes in place of chairs and piles of jagged glass instead of carpet or other flooring.

Via interior design some can be made comfortable, but in most instances the architect will not be pleased. ;) In all sincerity, I can appreciate them, but I may not want to live in them. I'd imagine that you or I might find the architecturally significant homes of former periods (albethey with updated utilities) to offer more 'comfort.'

Those Swiss ones are so unbelievable. Never heard of that firm but is now one of my favorites.
