workout pants for those who aren't 6'0 and over?

I want to get into running again, but I don't like wearing shorts, especially when it's cold. I remember back when I used to run, 4-5 years ago, I would try to find workout pants that fit decently but they were ALL way too long. I'm 5'8 and my legs are a bit short for my body, but it's not like I'm 5'3 or anything. It just kinda pissed me off that workout pants always only come in like three sizes and the manufacturers seem to assume everyone who buys them is at least 6 feet tall or something. Is there anywhere in particular I should look for workout pants, online or offline?

Something form-fitting eliminates that problem. You can jog in sweatpants, not run.

You can alter the length of workout pants just like any other pants.

I'm not much taller than the OP and found that adidas climalite pants are a good length for me. Running tights would be another option as indicated above.

Hmm,

I'm a little over 6' and have always thought that pant makers, particularly adidas, only made pants for flip'n hobbits...

Form-fitting, as in, say, your avatar?

Adidas pants, more than any other brand I've come across, have a shorter above-the-knee length.

You and I are the same height. I have a pair of addidas workout pants that fit me fine - we are a size small.

Well, looks like I'll be looking into Adidas. Thanks.

I will admit it for the first time.

I wear some kind of Nike women's sweat pants when I work out. They are just plain black pants in some of those sweat-wicking materials. I think they have zippered pockets.

You can probably find them, or equivilent, at a TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Ross, Filenes, etc.

More or less like these:

^^ Is this because of sizing, or to accentuate your fabulous derriere?

Mainly sizing; at 5'5" or 6", and 130 lbs, it's pretty hard to find grown-up men's clothes that fit.

The fabric is pretty nice too, but if you dive for a ball on the racquetball court the friction will melt a hole in them
