I think the US subscription rate is close to what it would cost a HK/ Singapore person to buy a copy and ship to you, plus if it gets lost, you always have recourse.

Always the voice of reason. I should subscribe. Maybe subliminally its easier kicking $25 out each issue vs. the whole nut for the subscription.

Like i told a few members, running a proxy is not feasible.

At the same time, it is not worth $30. I suppose if you travel to the far east, you could pick up a copy cheaply but i would rather pay $30 for a good hardcover book.

I ordered 7 issues online for 30 USD each and I'm thinking each time it's my last copy. Now I'm interested in issue 9 with Paul Smith and I'm anxious that it's not yet available online

Here in Switzerland these magazines are almost double the price than in the rest of Europe. I pay close to 20 USD for a copy of Esquire UK (or sometimes GQ UK). My wife is desperate by the big stack of Esquire (US, UK), The Rake, GQ (UK, France), Monsieur.fr, L'Uomo Vogue Italy, Fantastic Man that I accumulated in the last 3 years. I throw out GQ and L'Uomo Vogue but still collecting the others, I don't know why!
For how long do you keep these magazines?

If there is anything of particular importance or long-term interest, they get kept on a shelf, otherwise I pass them on to a younger work colleague after a week or so.

I wrote the Jawaharlal Nehru piece in the magazine's Code section.

A proxy costs 25 usd (never mind the time and effort), and it would be possible if everyone understood that you are simply mailing the magazine to them, and that delays and losses are not your responsibility.

I'm disappointed by the fluff nature of the articles.

Just ordered issue 9 from their website.

I'm pleasantly surprised to have received #9 today.

I was on the website to change my shipping address and noticed that they have limited re-issues of #1 and #3. There is also a deal to buy 1 through 6 for $150. Enjoy!
