Wait a minute, what am I saying? I love eating cows.

I take that back, somebody get be an order of fried turtle nuggets.

In the US, I believe most turtle soup is made from the evil snapping turtle.

I love turtle soup. There's a place in Canton OH called Bender's that makes a great one, as does Ruth's Chris. And the best I've ever had was at Nola in NOLA.

I've never had the opportunity but I certainly have no moral objections.

I've had roast turtle twice - I didn't like it. I've had turtle soup of a few times, and I like it.

a while back I had turtle soup at a nice place in New Orleans, and somebody asked me it it was from little turtles or big turtles. I didn't know so I asked the waiter. he smiled and said, little turtles, theyy're really cute, too.

Yeah.... sea turtles (the big ones) are kind of endangered. In Hawaii, you can go to jail just for touching one. I would not recommend cooking it.

There was a kid I went to grade school with who would occasionally pack turtle in his lunch. He once said there were like 7 kinds of meat in a turtle. I have heard other people say similar.

I've never had turtle, but would try it. I wonder how it compares to alligator (I've also never had that).

This was most likely regular ole southern snapping turtle. Definently a bit "white trash" or peasant but I wouldn't let that stop me.

I've had it once or twice, so yes. I have no ethical dilemma over eating it, it's just as a northerner, there isn't much opportunity to try it.
