I may have some exciting clothing-business related news about myself soon. To ask a preliminary question, what are some of your favorite online clothing stores, and what makes them good? I'm talking about design, description, selection, etc.

Which online stores really do the brick and mortar stores they represent justice?

(Also posted on Men's Clothing, but I thought there would be interesting and different insights on the two boards.)

I like being able to view a ton of stuff without having to turn the page and click on the "next" botton. Easy navigation is key.

A wide selection is always a plus and make sure it's updated often with stock. Also, having a person who responds to the emails or inquiries quickly is a huge plus.

That's all.

Free two-way shipping like Zappos and Revolve.

I rarely buy from sites that don't at least have free one-way shipping. I'd rather pay a slightly higher price than to think I'm getting a good deal only to pay an outrageous amount for shipping. I'm looking at you J.Crew.

Also, good pictures on models that aren't making ridiculous poses. I don't want to spend money on clothes that only look good when I stand a certain way.

This thread is making me feel better about our online store at Self Edge.
I don't think there is any other online store in the world that has as many measurements, specs, info, and photos on every single jean (and more shirts) in the online store.
I sometimes think our store is a bit over the top with the information on every product page..

Revolve Clothing - For all the different picture angles so you can get a really good idea of what the item looks like

Self Edge - For all of the measurements you can possibly need so you can get a really good idea of how the clothing fits

Zappos - For the excellent customer service, fast shipping, and free to the customer 2-way shipping (although I know they just absorb the cost but to the consumer it is free!)

J. Crew and other similar brick/mortars with online store fronts - For the ease of navigation through the different categories

IMO, Self Edge does a great job with their photos. Seriously, learn from them. High Res shots that show the fine details of their clothing.
