I may have mis-spoke. I do have a gap between the images, but the frame edge is so thin that the frame is barely noticable. There is no space between the picture and the wall...so the "floating" effect isnt there, but the frame is solid black, and about 3/4" thick, so the images are not flush with the wall.

I didn't enlarge one image, I used nine separate pictures...but I'll try to get a pic up later today.

I saw some leather tiles I liked, this is in vinyl I sewed to bring the cost from several thousand to $100.

I have some solid woven wood blinds stuck on my wall. All you have to do is remove the hardware used to roll the shade inside the window pane. It should then lay flat, so you can hang it up on your wall.

I got the idea from an old issue of Dwell from a few years ago. They should run you maybe $30-40 for a decent sized shade.
