I've been tested at 8,12, and 17% depending on method. I have no real idea, but I would guess 10%. I should post a picture here sometime and get guesses.

I have one of those Omron handheld gadgets and it measures my body fat from 12 to 15% on any given day.

I dunno, but I'd be interested. What's the cheapest way to have it tested?

Calipers are more accurate than those handheld electric ones.

go into a nutrition store or gym and ask for a tour and if they offer it. water submersion is most accurate iirc. bod pod or other seems alright as well. calipers are okay for tracking, but obviously not entirely right (human error, etc.).

the little gripper things and the scales you stand on are terrible.

They had a device I imagine is similar to the thing (posted in the costco link) at my school's gym the other day. It also had metal surfaces for your feet in addition to the hand held grips.

The guys working the machine said that it passed a small current through your body and measured the resistance created by your fat stores.

I think they have it there every Tuesday. I don't know why, but it has me really motivated to get my fat % lower knowing that I can now check it weekly.

Bod pod was least accurate for me, maybe ******** up but it was what put me at 17.4%.

^ i've seen that happen before. can't explain it - it's usually pretty on point. (put a guy @ 14% who was closer to 6 - about 2 weeks out from a comp)

*shrug* just look in the mirror.

Last time I got it checked I was at 12%. I doubt it has changed much.
