I am attending my sister's wedding within the next 4 weeks, and I really want to find a RTW balmoral boot to go with my semi-formal daywear for the occasion. All I can ascertain from this site is the EG Shannons, which are most assuredly MTO (not enough time). Does anyone have any other recommendations on such short notice?

Balmoral boots are awesome! I'd love to bespeak a pair someday.
I suspect that the twenty or so pairs of modern Balmoral Boots in the world probably all belong to Style Forum members. Maybe one of them might be your size and would loan you their boots for the big day.

I am, generally speaking, 12D US. Running off the top of my head, this size works consistently for me when purchasing Santoni, Alden, Ferragamo, and Allen Edmonds.

I have some chukkas both in black leather and shell cordovan, but I think the balmoral boot is definitely comme il faut for the attire and situation. By the way, is there a specific name for this style of boot?

I'm looking for a black balmoral boot too. As far as I know the only rtw balmorals are a model by C&J Paris (Avebury?) which is out of my price range and this from Grenson http://www.thenaturalshoestore.com/i...&opr_oprid=443
Which is overpriced and only available in the UK from the natural shoe store.

Grenson produce or (produced) some balmorals for the Stuart's Choice line and I managed to get a pair on e-bay, but they don't appear often.

I have these Lobbs but never wear them. They are UK size 6.5EE if anyone is interested.

To the OP, don't mind this idiot ^^^. I am sorry his juvenile revenge fantasies and persecution complex had to intrude into your thread.

Paul Stuart and C&J of late have both been stocking bal boots. Give them a try.

May be worthwhile to contact Saint Crispin's. They do have some modified 'bootees' (that look like regular bal boots) in stock from time to time.

Where could one see them outside of London or NYC? Are there any websites?

PS has a website, boots sadly not listed:

http://www.paulstuart.com/category_t...headermenuid=1

C&J lists all their stock but does not sell shoes online, you have to go through a retailer. Call around, is the only suggestion I can think of.

You might be able to track down a pair of Lobb Brooklands. I believe they have been dropped from Lobbs current catalog however.

C&J had a balmoral boot a few seasons back...the Villiers (on the 337 last.) Don't know if a call to the London shop might turn up something

Where's Sator? You might have better luck finding black chelsea boots. These could be an appropriate substitute.
