Crittenden Rawlings, former CEO of Oxxford, is changing the industry (again).

He started with a casual collection of soft coats and now he is ready to take on the worlds best coat makers.

He just released a new collection of hand tailored clothing. These garments may be the finest in the world. Yes, I did say the finest in the world. After veiwing the garments in my store I can honestly say they have more hand work than Brioni, Oxxford, Kiton, Attolini, etc... In addition to the hand work, I have a true testimonial to back up the fit. The first two coats I sold this past weekend were size 46 and 48. They fit perfect! If you can fit the big boys, you can fit anyone.

Romualdo, our founder, was shocked by the discipline used in the hand sewing. He claims there is no other garment in the world with this much detail. You can't beleive how close the stitches are at the top of the trouser. Most would assume that it is by machine.

If you get a chance, find a retailer who can show you this garment. For those of you who know, you shall see...

Are these being made in China, as previously reported, or somewhere else? If the latter, where are they being sewn, and by whom?

These coats are being made by a very large Japanese company and made in China. This gament is made in a different factory than the soft coat he has been showing the last few seasons. They are much more expensive; a navy blazer retails for $895.

This garment is going to scare a lot of retailers. How can you show a client a garment that is two or three times the price and not the same quality?

You need to see it to beleive it...

I know production costs in China must be much lower than in the U.S. or Europe, but $895 for a blazer (in decent cloth, I assume) with as much handsewing as described is hard to believe.

They are at a retailer near me and I was looking at a spring summer coat in brown /white houndstooth.
$500 range.
Not being an expert in what constitutes better from best, I can't prove or disprove quality. I tried it on and liked the fit /feel and especially look of said jacket.
Didn't buy it...logged on to SF, could find much info.

Perhaps, even the entire solar system.

Heck, at those prices, why not hack up a few to get a better look.

Can a client see the difference, or do you have to explain it?!

IMO most importent is fit and then the garment. If it is really that good everyone likes to have it. So they get short of it and the prices go up.

If it is a insider tip, don't post it in a forum!

IMO fit it is the most important factor for a coat. You can have all of the hand work in the world but if it does not fit, it is not worth any price.

Talk about hand work, you can see the garment is sewn slowly. The hand work has no puckering.

This is not an insider tip! I am just so excited to see a superior quality garment. After all, I own a tailoring business and this is my life!

Where would we this collection? I googled it and only came up with a small shop in Indianapolis. Any ideas? Thanks.
