I like them too. It's just a cyclical thing that ebbs and flows like most things in "fashion."

I like the influence. I feel like SF was a little ahead of the curve on the workwear stuff/trend, but who knows--we're not designing here, just reacting to designs.
I have quite a few plaid shirts, but only one buffalo check--a wool pendleton. I like it, but I admit I feel a little "I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK" when I wear it. I'll crosspost from the affiliate thread, I like this OAK shirt: ![]() |

I really havent been aware of Jcrew for that long, being european, and got the impression that have an classic/americana profile.. so what did they sell before this "trend"? |

as far as j.crew goes...i like them as a cheap(er) alternative...they have some nice flannel shirts, imo, although you run the risk of running into someone w/ the same shirt obviously. but for the most part, most guys are still wearin 7 diamonds and true religions and their brethren and i think those types would scoff at flannel shirts, thinkin its not stylish, which makes me feel safer wearing j.crew ones

Think of mainline Polo but slightly more tasteful (no big pony emblems, logo pants or ties, etc.), better fitting, and a little less well made- though this last one is not universally true.

I got my first Flannel shirt, a Redmoon one. Kinda different because it has leather (hoping its leather and not imitation leather since its RM) running on the back of the arm. I think its a great Fall/Winter material / design. Also have a Flannel jacket from BR for like 50 bucks last season.

I'm not a big fan. It's strikes too close to the "farmer" asthetic I enjoy making fun of.
