Bowtie Where to acquire James Bond style online

Thought this might be a fun thread to start-- especially, because after posting a reply on the c*sino royale thread, i was then blocked from that web URL by the US Government. If it contains the word casino, it must be an online gambling site-- can't have our civilian employees involved in THAT!!! horrors.

Anyway, if you know where to find items used in Bond films or books, thought it might be a good place to share them with other members.

I'll kick it off with three items, all but one of which I plan to purchase in a few months:

from the c*sino royale thread, thanks for the tip on this one!! just gotta figure out which size i should purchase (41" chest, 33" waist)

Black polo shirt

GMT Seamaster (the actual wristwatch, not the commercial version with the 007 and gun barrel watchface, that isn't what bond wore!!!)

here's an interesting (and expensive) one...the leather briefcase

Magnoli Clothiers specializes in vintage wear, including replicas from several films. Here is a link to their "Goldfinger three piece suit."

Disclaimer: I have never done business with Magnoli, so I can't speak to service or quality of product. Folks on the Indygear website speak of them highly, however. I think the owner posts there semi-regularly. Also, I believe they get some mention on the Fedora Lounge.

Foxx, go with the Navy polo over the black polo, I don't like black polos much, it also seems more nautical hence Bond's history and was what was worn in the film

Bowtie

wow, those are some interestin details from the fleming books-- thanks!

does anyone have photos of the white shirt worn when bond arrived to the bahamas? maybe someone can identify it.

I noticed one of the posted weblinks listed two john lobb models of shoes, i wonder if one pair was worn with the tuxedo while the other pair was worn at another time during casino royale?? The two styles featured in Casino Royale are the 'Becketts' and the 'Luffield'. I'm having trouble viewing the lobb site, can anyone post photos of these shoes?

i am having trouble with the sunspel website, need to place my order for two bond polo shirts, but they don't accept american express! having trouble getting it to take my visa check card!!

also in one of the weblinks, they note the creator of the suit worn in the bathroom killing scene-- and the tan suit worn upon arrival to the bahamas-- were unidentified. wouldn't both of these be brioni, since they outfitted the tailored clothing for the film?

Brioni made his tuxedo midnight blue instead of black for a lot of James Bond movies with Pierce Brosnan...
Midnight blue has more depth than black and is a lot more classy and versatile....
Go with deep navy blue...

James Bond doesn't wear a Seamaster GMT. He uses the normal co-axial SeMP and the 45mm Planet Ocean in Casino Royale.

You guys are amazing...
Do you organize some James Bond conventions like Trekkies or Star Wars fans?
That will be great fun ....
Is there anybody on this site who is wearing tip to toe James Bond's products endorsements?

What about the tie that Bond is wearing in the final scene of Casino Royale? I'd love to get my hand on that tie.

it has been fairly easy to find shirts in this style - what has been difficult is to find that similarly styled shirt, without the pockets on the front (which is more similar to what was used in the film)

as far as i know, nobody was able to ever definitively source the shirt (which I think makes it highly likely that it was a custom job).

as for the shoes, he appears to wear various versions of the Lobb luffields and romseys (in various brown, suede, and black colors). although becketts were supplied, they apparently were not used as the luffields were used as the 'formal' shoes.

I have read on more than one occasion that Turnbull and Asser supplied a great many of the shirts for Casino Royale.
