Are the sizes of coats comparable to the sizes of a blazer? For example, if one has a well fitting 40R Corneliani blazer, is 40R the right size for a Corneliani coat as well?

As those are overcoats they are cut to fit over a jacket, so they are roomier than a coat...

I sometimes wear an overcoat alone, as a long jacket, but in that case you have to take one or even two sizes less than your normal size

I wear a 38R and have a Zileri 36R overcoat that I use as a long jacket
