Brownshoe Shoe Damage (Mini Version)

Small shoes (6.5F and 7E) on a small rug (2x4) for a small price (relative to what you usually see here).

Crockett & Jones Grosvenor in black on the 248
Alden 9015 in dark burgundy shell cordovan on the Hampton

Disclaimer: Only the C&Js are new. I included the Aldens in the interest of avoiding shoe bias.

Very nice. I'm glad you included the Aldens, I think they're outstanding.

One of the positives that has come out of all the hubbub that went on as that more people are "coming out of the closet" (get it? coming out of the closet??? I'm here all day folks, try the full grain calf..) with their shoe collections. Nice shoes and the C&J's alwyas look better in real life pics.

With all this shoe/rug porn, methinks we have the makings of a killer coffee table book for the holiday season.

Nice shoes - I think I really like Monkstraps - never owned a pair in my life - I might go for something liek this.

The finish on the Aldesn seems better than the CJ. Sure, part is the hide. But the application of a bit of polish over time does make it better. The monks are a great shoe - I've got several and love them. These will also look better when you've had time to "adjust" the finish with conditioner and polish.

I like that the rug size is proportionate to the number of shoes presented.

Great Aldens. Very classic.
