Default Brooks Brothers x Mad Men

Looks like Brooks is going to be doing a Mad Men edition suit with input from the shows costume designer. I wonder if it will be a middle ground between the 1818 line and Black Fleece. In any event, this has to be better than the Mad Men/Banana Republic promotion.

Thumbs up to the suit (or tentative, based on what you can see in the pic)

Thumbs down to the f@#king idea that they have to tie it to Mad Men to sell it.

I feel sorry for the 250 suckers that think they'll look nice wearing it.

I was just cringing at the idea of more Mad Men product tie in's when it occurred to me that if it gets the average American consumer to dress better, why not? Hey, if people that I encounter in corporate America have to have the Don Draper signature suit to feel like they look okay at least it's a step up from the baggy khaki's and short sleeve polyester non-iron they were wearing the day before.

I agree completely.

It's definitely not for me, but the peons will look fantastic.

I think it looks great. It's masculine, and American. What more could you want in a suit?

Just when I thought narrow lapels were finally going to fade...

A girl phoned me and said "Come on over, there's nobody home." I went over. Nobody was home.

Couldn't you already get a suit like this from BB?

The lapels are a styling gimmick.
