[b]NWT Invertere Car Coat - Made in England - 40/42[b]

Made by Invertere in Newton Abbot, Devon, England to the highest standards of Elysian wool, woven in Yorkshire. Deep, rich green (doesn't show up that well in pictures, but the color is really nice) cloth with texture. Extremely warm. Similar coats have retailed at Cable Car Clothiers/O'Connell's for around $1100. Size 40R, but may fit a 42 as well (see measurements below). Invertere was very popular campus wear on Ivy League campuses from the early 60s through the 80s.

Note: it is slightly wrinkled because I had folded it up. But it is completely new, with tags, never worn. In the last photo you can see the symbol that I believe denotes the Elysian wool.

I have the O'Connells covert twill version of this walking coat and the price represents a value (1/3 of retail, if you can find Invertere at all). Also, Jeff's an excellent seller. Must not. Still, what are the measurements, as Invertere often runs big? Which pic is most representative of the color? How pronounced is the Elysian twill?

Thanks for the nice comments, Steven. You're an excellent buyer. I have an identical coat in brown; I wear a 40R sport coat size; and this fits nicely over it. It could fit someone slightly larger, up to perhaps a 42R, although perhaps not with sport coat underneath. I don't know. The chest measurement is 22.5" from pit to pit; the length is 34"; sleeves are raglan and almost impossible to measure, but if you want to give me some way to measure it I'll do it. The Elysian twill is extremely nice--not sure how to answer your question. I'd say it's noticeable at a relative distance. Hope this helps.
