![]() It's been a while in the making, but here we go. Photographs are finally up of what I have of Harrisons' and Porter & Harding's tailoring bunches. See them here at http://www.flickr.com/photos/britishcloth/sets/ Apologies if the same cloth appears a few times over. Colours The colours are spot on so if you would like to order anything or have any questions about any particular piece of cloth, such as weight or suitability, just send me an e-mail at britishclothsales@gmail.com This is better than PMs, although I will accept those, as we both end up with a record of what has happened and they are much easier to edit. Shipping Shipping will be by UPS and charged on a case-by-case basis. Prices are as follows for now and are expressed in GBP so as to avoid any changes later on to account for exchange rates. If there is any change, it will be on Harrisons' behalf, not mine or because of the value of, say, the USD. Prices All are per metre Sunbeam 55 GBP Hartwist (tweed)50 GBP Harris Tweed 52 GBP (conventional-width pricing) Cape Kid (mohair blend) 68 GBP Flannels Worsted 45 GBP and Woolen 55 GBP Fine Classics (13 oz worsted) 40 GBP Moonbeam (urban tweed angora and lambswool) 54 GBP Glorious Twelfth (worsted finished like a tweed) 52 GBP P&B Universal (old-world mid- and heavy-weight) 40 GBP Mersolair (bunch of stuff, see below) 54% Mohair 46% Linen 45 GBP Irish Linen 35 GBP Cotton 27 GBP Thornproof 53 GBP Glenroyal 55 GBP Cords 33 GBP Firefly 48 GBP a metre Cotton velvet 30 GBP a metre Tartans 45 GBP a metre COATINGS 100% cashmere 230 GBP 85% golden bale 15% cashmere 185 GBP 100% wool (All Wool) 540 gms 62 GBP 100% wool (All Wool) 700 gms 62 GBP 85% wool 15% camel hair 560 gms 62 GBP 100% camel hair 120 GBP Cover coating (100% wool) 65 GBP New additions Fox Bros & Co flannels are 42.50 GBP a metre. Harrisons Firefly 48 GBP a metre Cotton velvet 30 GBP a metre Tartans 45 GBP a metre COATINGS 100% cashmere 230 GBP 85% golden bale 15% cashmere 185 GBP 100% wool (All Wool) 540 gms 62 GBP 100% wool (All Wool) 700 gms 62 GBP 85% wool 15% camel hair 560 gms 62 GBP 100% camel hair 120 GBP Cover coating (100% wool) 65 GBP More Qs (for me) I have these bunches with me in person, so if you would like more photographs of any cloth, please do just ask. NEWS NEWS NEWS Two things :-) First, a member here is having a custom order put through with Fox Bros. and needs only 15 metres of orders for it to go ahead. The cost would be 45 GBP per metre plus shipping from Fox Bros. These are direct prices with no mark up from the mill. The cloth ships from the mill and you can add any cloth you have seen here for sale from their stock-suppored line, if you are interested. This would make shipping a bit more economical :-) If you are interested, you can find more information here http://www.cutterandtailor.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=192&st=0&gopid=1877&#entry1877 The cloth is looks like this ![]() Second! Okay, HFW is back. HFW is John G Hardy and J&J Minnis. See the following site for details and some (dark) pictures. http://www.hfwltd.com/ Prices are per metre and are in GBP. Savings are between 30% and 50% off. There is also a bit of a saving in shipping costs doing things this way rather than through the web-shop. Prices are conditional upon continued support, so please, gang, keep up the orders. NO TIME WASTERS PLEASE. I just can't be bothered with them any more and I get my fair share. HFW and I are not here to indulge in your fantasies of one day getting something made up that you really have no intention of carrying out. Alsport (what's going) 45 GBP, save 45 GBP (50% off) New Alsport 55 GBP, save 37 GBP (40% off) Worsted Alsport 40 GBP, save 30 GBP (43% off) Classic 42.5 GBP, save 22.5 GBP (35% off) Crown Classic 50 GBP, save 28 GBP (36% off) Savile Row 55 GBP, save 25 GBP (31% off) Excelsior 55 GBP, save 20 GBP (27% off) Fresco 40 GBP, save 30 GBP (43% off) Flannel 45 GBP, save 30 GBP (40% off) Finesse 40 GBP, save 25 GBP (38% off) Riviera 40 GBP, save 20 GBP (33% off) Harris Tweed 50 GBP, save 30 GBP (38% off) (double width or 25 GBP single) Linen 45 GBP, save 20 GBP (31% off) Cotton 25 GBP, save 5 GBP (17% off) Cords 25 GBP, save 10 GBP (30% off) Moleskin 25 GBP, save 10 GBP (30% off) 12 Oz Casual 40 GBP, save 20 GBP (33% off) COATINGS Camel hair 110 GBP, save 70 GBP or 39% off Cashmere 180 GBP, save 70GBP or 28% off Any other 100% wool 58 GBP, save up to 42 GBP (50% off in some cases) All the best, Andrew :-) |

This is a great resource - can't wait for the Fox flannels.
2.5 metre for sportcoat? 4.0 metre for a suit? |

If your chest is small (height is not so much the issue here, though it does make a difference) 2m can be enough, but 2.5 is always safest if you're taking it yourself to a tailor. Similarly, 3.5 can often be enough for smaller people but 4 is best. I have a 34" chest (short and thin) and have been asked only for 2m and sometimes for 2.5, depending on the cloth and the tailor. Of course, I'm happy to take any orders in 0.5m increments.

If you click on the 'all sizes' button for any cloth, it will give you a larger shot, but I can take some photographs from different angles if you like. Let me know.
WRT Breanish, the best thing to do is contact them directly at christina at breanishtweed.co.uk and just let her know Andrew Rogers sent you. View their Picasa album here http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/Breanish.Tweed/CurrentBreanishTweedStock?authkey=Gv1sRgCICv_OrSzsv3kAE&feat=email# |

Please go to the following site and look for anything tagged as linen http://www.flickr.com/photos/britishcloth/sets/72157619629018578/
Also you can actually search my Flickr account using key words, so also try linen there. |
