fantastic shoes...just love the Edmonds :-)
funny thing is i remember back in the day they touted themselves as being the favorite shoes of one George W. Bush. Not sure if theyre still braggin about this, but it would have been some great PR had he decided to toss back a pair of american-made leather from the podium the other day :-) :-)

I don't see much writing about Bontoni or Gravati shoes. I found them very beautiful, and high quality as well.

I just ordered a pair of Allen-Edmonds Hampsteads (chili brown). I can't wait to get them. I have 8-10 pair of A-E shoes. They are the most comfortable, durable, and handsome shoes around

If you buy a pair for $100 and they last you six months, which was the more expensive? I think the Old Money WASP guys were just cheap, so they always bought the best.

I don't fight, I just purchase. Just ordered two pairs of Gravati in a nice Dark Tan (a bit yellowish), and a pair of Church's new (Prada participant) black elongated capetoe. Should get them by next week.

Not how I would describe Allen Edmonds. What do you find handsome about these shoes?

Excluding the recent “Top Drawer” range (which has a quite limited output), Edward Green has only quality level and one basic price point.
(There is a small premium on the styles with hand-stitched aprons.)

The different styles of labels has historical reasons, the typefaces have changed with time
(even that is a bit tricky, as different retailers might prefer to go for one of the “older” fonts).

What is it with these bizarre Euro webmasters who build these ostensibly sexy websites for these shoe firms but which are impossible to easily access and utilize and are basically light on for quantity?
