I'd load up on quite a few bottles and all. Sauternes FTW!

I haven't ventured into Ports yet but I've had two reds fromthe Douro region that were just wonderful. Dos Grilos and the Quinta Do Coa. Thanks for the article...we should start a wine info/appreciation thread.

If I wanted to buy a few bottles of the 2007 to lay down how would I go about finding out which ones to buy and what's the best route to get the best deal (online sites, local stores, mailing lists, etc.).

![]() I'd say, just go with the tasting notes in WS. Here's the sad part though. You should not lay down any 2007s, unless you're willing to perhaps drink them too young. I'm a few years younger than you, and I have to face the fact I'll be about 70 when these are really ripe. Growing old sucks ![]()

![]() I had been reading this weekend that it looked like 2007 was going to have at least some houses declare, and I got to thinking about the whole age vs. port thing. Not very cheery.

I rarely drink port, though a port is on one of my all time favorite lists: the 1975 Quinta do Nuval

I had the 2003 Croft Vintage a few months ago (yes, young to drink), but damn was it good. Got it for $50.
