Hard to say. In a way, some of this depends on body type...0b5 has got that lean, long look that seems to work well with black ensembles without making him look like a waiter or chauffeur. You're lean as well...not as lanky, though.

But yes, I think losing the tie would have improved things.

Also, sleeker, nicer black shoes.

Since I've been cited, I'll take this as licence to interject with my 2 cents (and worth, as always, no more or less):

I get what NYR was going for here but the execution is wrong. The problem is not the presence of the tie (though I admit I much prefer minimalist fits sans tie - that's a matter of personal taste) but the fact you're wearing sneakers instead of shoes, that the socks are not plain black and that your black trousers don't quite match your black jacket in shade. Minimalist fits require total consistency to work - if you did exactly the same but substituted a black suit (ignore the screams) for the matching/non-matching jacket/trousers and swapped the sneaks for shoes (with totally plain socks), I think this would look good.

My 2 cents: Wear whatever you like, as long as it fits well and makes you feel good, go for it.

For sale: Scabal suit hangers. PM me for more info.

Apparently, it's Vox-approved now, so no need to worry about the reason any more.

Details on the trench? I like the length (or lack of).
