I get what NYR was going for here but the execution is wrong. The problem is not the presence of the tie (though I admit I much prefer minimalist fits sans tie - that's a matter of personal taste) but the fact you're wearing sneakers instead of shoes, that the socks are not plain black and that your black trousers don't quite match your black jacket in shade. Minimalist fits require total consistency to work - if you did exactly the same but substituted a black suit (ignore the screams) for the matching/non-matching jacket/trousers and swapped the sneaks for shoes (with totally plain socks), I think this would look good. | |||
