In the books, Dexter notices that Rita's kids are "like him". I believe he ends up taking them out on killings with him, etc. (not sure...this is from a secondary source)

Does anyone else think the writing (some dialogues, monologues, shit with Harry) has been incredibly bad this season? I can't take it seriously.

They're trying too hard with this whole "family" aspect. Its too forced and, as evidenced above, is making everyone hate Rita and the other characters. The show needs another Doakes, badly.

^^ this whole season has been fairly awful. Hopefully they can turn it around because the first 3 seasons of Dexter were outstanding

I think the dialogue has always been pretty crappy. Remember Dexter's "but the fiddler plays the devil's tune" monologues from seasons past?

I agree the Batista/WomanBoss dialogues are the worst the show has ever seen, but the conversations have never been that great.

+1. freakin' insanity. the reveal of Trinity's true character in relationship to his family. my God that Thanksgiving meal scene was amazing. and the twist at the end. did not see that coming at all.

are we assuming that she knows everything, then?

( seems when Trinity was with Dexter, it was the first time he heard of the swab test. She knew about it before from the apt)

I have to agree that the current episode definitely added some much needed spice to this season.

As the only other character introduced this season it was kind of obvious right? The only other possibility was another Trinity family member.
