I don't think they are calf; I was going to purchase one, but the leather just wasn't in the same league as the calf shoes they sell. But I think they are reasonably priced, so I do think it's a good option.

Unfortunately they are sold out of everything in my size(almost every size for that matter). I am also not wild about Loake's.

sold out. and the time to get them was when you could overlap the $100 off for $250 worth of purchases with free shipping. 2 shoes were about $270, minus the $100 gets you $170, or two for $85.

a lot of shoes disappeared when that happened. I thought about the plaintoe calf derbies, but I'm well stocked with shoes as it is, and am actually trying to reduce my . Perhaps I should have bought for sale on ebay later.

I kinda like these but perhaps not quite the style you're looking for, there are some cool boots on bluefly atm:

Thanks for the link. The "Roberta Chelsea" is exactly what I am looking for. Unfortunately it is a little out of my range right now. I think I might save up for it though! Ofcourse than I am in the C&J Chelsea price range....hmmm

Earthmover,

You are right, they are 'polished' or 'corrected' leather yet they are a resonable price.
