ironheart.co.uk is doing a collab with OSB, but they're mum on the details - should come out soon... The guy is hinting it might be a trail oxford, but it's not clear. I searched and didn't see anything on this. I just picked up a Filson 257 in Otter Green on workinggear.com for $213... The order went through, I'll update when/if it ships and goes through. If it does at that price, it's the best deal I've found on it ^^- Ike

Allen Edmonds Appreciation Thread - reviews, pictures, sizing, etc...
Sale went up @ midnight on the website. Mcalister down to $250, which is nice. Also, almost all accessories are on sale - dress belts, shoe trees, etc... nice sale, wish there were more shoes on it. Wanted to cop the Walnut strands, but might do mcalisters at that price.- Ike

BEST SLIM FIT khakis?
By regular, you mean totally true to size, not vanity? First experience w/BB for me. Eg: I'm a real 34 on dress pants when I'm measured, but I often wear a 32 in most OTR jeans/pants (even Mason's, I've found). Thanks- Ike

Thanks guys. I'm going to try that buy one, get one 50% off tomorrow at Men's Wearhouse on the Executives and see how they fit - I'll need to like both of them enough. I like them but they run very narrow. Thanks. I'm a 12C in the #5 last, so I'm hoping that'll fit me. I'm heading downtown tomorrow to go to MW and the AE store, I'll see what I can find. Just wish MW had a "brown," they offer walnut in one option and chili in another - but they don't even...- Ike

hickeys are pretty good suits - half-canvassed. Now discontinued. I was actually looking @ the hickey herringbone blazer on that Suit Up sale. Just remember, with Gilt if you try it and it's not the fit you like, you're stuck with "gilt credit," which might be an annoyance at $500...- Ike

Luggage for weekend trips
Sorry, a bit big - linked directly. I'll do my obligatory JW Hulme nod. JW Hulme: Duluth Pack also makes some great, cheaper canvas/canvas & leather options. Frost River (frostriver.com) is owned by them, and is basically similar designs with the same warranty, but w/o their ridiculous...- Ike

BEST SLIM FIT khakis?
I strongly second EM's of Mason's. Banana Republic made some good, cheap-ish slim-fit chinos last spring. Based on the advice here, I'm going to the downtown Minneapolis Brooks Brothers to check out those Milanos on Monday - hopefully the sale on them is ongoing?- Ike

I've had trouble finding decent feedback on the executive collection in the search function. I am going abroad to work in Tunisia starting in around September, and the rubber soles appeal to me for practical reasons - the pavement in downtown Tunis is quite good, but sidewalks are spotty at best...- Ike

If you're pretty confident your waist will stay around there, one option is made to measure. Prices are a bit steeper, but they'll fit.- Ike
