Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

Good point, can't believe I forgot to mention that -- I'm in West Virginia. I assumed ~3 weeks from day of order, just not sure if that's a solid estimate.

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

Apologies gentleman if this is the wrong thread for this, but I ordered directly from Carmina's site for the first time as opposed to other retailers selling their brand, and I was curious how long it took you all to go from "order processing" to "shipped" for an in-stock item? I have no idea...

    The Official Carmina Sizing Thread

Any recommendations for what size I should take in a Simpson Jodhpur if I'm a UK7 Rain on a Chelsea boot?

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

If I wear a UK7 on a Chelsea boot in the rain last, what would you all recommend in terms of sizing for a jodhpur boot in the Simpson last? The laceless aspect of all this made me want to run it past someone who would know.

Just picked up the Navy Museum Jodphurs. JFitz sales are always too tempting to pass up because even though I don't "need" shoes, grabbing a pair of his boots for under $300 USD feels like highway robbery.

New member looking to expand shoe collection

I really like Carmina, who you have mentioned, and JFitzpatrick. I still think JFitzpatrick is the best value on the market, and if I had known about him prior to purchasing my AE's I probably wouldn't own a pair of AE.

Is it really worth it to buy expensive shoes?

It depends what you value. If you can't look at a pair of $400-500 shoes and appreciate the way in which it exceeds the offerings of a J&M or Cole Haan, then you're wearing shoes to impress other people instead of investing in what you actually value. I'm not far along enough in my career to...

Totally agree about what you're getting for the price. I've received the taupe suede derbies and the cinnamon aurora, and I'll be getting the navy Issaquah tassel loafer so hopefully I can post some pictures for everyone once I have a proper camera. I don't think my iPhone and a hotel room...

Thanks, just submitted my order -- I was pretty stoked to see it on the LPB last. As for quality, I am and will continue to be blown away by the fact that I can get J Fitz at full retail for less than a new pair of Allen Edmonds. That isn't mean to disrespect AE at all, but the beveled waist...

^ Nice collection, man. I'm 4 deep into Justin's line -- the Green/Green Rainier, Plum Genessee, Suede Fauntleroy, and the Black Button boot. I've been obsessively checking the site and their social media for news of when that new cinnamon suede Aurora button shoe will drop as well as any news...

I think the braided leather is very interesting -- would love it if you guys had a Carmina offering in that style. I believe I saw someone post a braided Chelsea boot on the Rain last elsewhere in the forum and it was beautiful.

Shoelearner: I'm obviously not Justin, but I can help you with some of your questions. I don't know whether the Genessee boot you selected is rose calf or red, but I know it's not Burgundy and my guess is that it's rose calf. Justin has a Burgundy shoe (Wallingford), and that shoe is a more...

Any news on when you'll have a restock or release S/S 2017 items on the site? It looks like a lot of your UK 7 has been cleared out.

I found some good pics of the Genesee on the foot and just made the purchase. I really wanted a jodhpur boot and preferred Justin's version in Mulberry to the Carlos Santos one I had been eyeing.

Does anyone have pics of them wearing the Genesee? I really want to get a look of them up against jeans or trousers.

God, I love this forum. I had never even heard of Carlos Santos until I saw Leaves posting about the brand in another thread. I've been looking for some boots and those CS field boots are just perfect, had to order them.

Thanks for sharing your experience -- my main concern with the sizing is the ball of my feet, as I am not a super wide fit but I am on the wider side, so it's helpful to hear your comparison and I might go up that half size. I just wanted to get a sense for sizing before jumping on the...

I think I'm somewhere between a US D and E in terms of width, but closer to the D. I wear an 8E in the 65 last (Park Avenue) for AE, which I think is a little too loose. The UK7 is a much better fit for me on your fauntleroy's, but still very comfortable/easy in toe box and at the widest part of...

How would you guys compare the last on the button boots to the LPB/MGF? I'm curious because those are the only two lasts I have. I can wear them easily with no tightness and no v-gap/lace spacing, but I don't know how I should approach sizing with the NGT last.

After seeing more pics of the Forest Green Rainier in the wild and this additional markdown I had to pull the trigger. Very excited.
