Hi Charlie, I am thinking of ordering some belts from you. I need advice of the colour in your selection which most closely matches: 1) the "Edwardian" colour of Edward Green shoes 2) the "Dark Oak/Dark Oak Antique" colour of Edward Green shoes Thank you

    Shell cordovan + rain = ???

My Carmina shell cordovan whole cut has developed many ugly water marks because of rain. I am really disappointed at this outcome.

    Jantzen - crappy fabric?

I must have close to 80 shirts from Jantzen and most of them are still in my regular shirt rotation. I also have shirts from WW Chan, David's Shirts & Ascot Chang and other less well-known tailors. Fabric wise, it is true that the Jantzen fabrics do not match those from the other shirtmakers...

    Singapore for shopping

Joe has closed his shop at Fuji Xerox Towers quite a few months ago. The only shop - quite a spacious one - he has is at Golden Shoe Market (adjacently across Capital Square), 2 mins' walk from Republic Plaza.

    Berluti in SG

Allen Edmonds used to be available a few years ago in a limited selection of styles in 2 places: 1) Takashimaya Dept Store (or was it Isetan?) 2) A shoe called Petite Finesse (if my memory of the name is right) in Suntec City. I remember the Park Avenue to be priced at close to S$700 at that...

    Vigevano - Italy's shoe city

Thanks Golf_Nerd. I would like to clarify that my question about shops or factories to visit relates to Vigevano rather than Milan. I had done a search on 'Vigevano' on this forum and found nothing useful. Can someone who is familiar with Italy help? Thank you

    Vigevano - Italy's shoe city

Dear all, I have heard that there's a city called Vigevano which is known as the shoe capital of Italy and that it is not far Milan. I am a shoe lover (and buy mostly English shoes like EGs & JLs, but also own Carminas, JM Westons & Aldens). I have seen the pictures of some really nice Italian...

    boatshoe smell

I have exactly the same problem with my boat shoes. I know wearing socks will help but to me, boat shoes are to be worn sans socks. I like my EGs and JLs but come weekend, I often like to dress really casually: T-shirts, jeans and my boat shoes. I hear that charcoal will absorb (rather than...

    Just for the record: C&J/PLAL

Hello My View2, I am sorry your brother's experience was not as expected. I think I remember this gentleman who had wide feet and would only fit into G width shoes. The big advantage walk-in customers have is that they can try on a number of shoes until they find something that suits them. We...
