Proper Cloth - Official Affiliate Thread

Interesting. I just got two shirts and felt compelled to do the same thing! I was one of those people. So thanks. And here's mine: I think I nailed it pretty good in terms of how to order differently between especially Pima Oxfords (although it already adds shrinking allowance but clearly ....)...

Seph Thanks. As I said, most of my cuffs (95%?) have been perfect out of the box. Here, I am talking pre-wash of course and they didn't change post (none ever have noticeably for me). I still think - to summarize my main point from the post - the major problem barring shrinkage adjustment is...

Proper Cloth - Official Affiliate Thread

Ok, I just have to post this here now. And I am hoping to be constructive. I've mentioned before how I'm a customer since 2015 having bought 60-70 shirts by this point. I do not want to switch or stop buying Proper Cloth shirts. But the measurement issue is becoming quite frustrating. It feels...

@Seph: Is there a systematic rule how wide the bottom hem is? I.e. how far from the bottom it is stitched? With most Soft Ivy shirts I've noted that it is wider (more of the "normal" width of 0.25" or so), whereas with dress shirt type fabrics & collars it is a very tight stitch. However, the...

@Seph: Any update yet on the fixing of the interlining for Stiff Franklin Spread to be more pliable again? At what point will it be safe to order that collar? Second question: I've been thinking more about the 'very tailored sleeve' option. Not for the more tailored look, but because I continue...

Awesome that you know what I am referring to. If you drop a note whenever that'll be done I'm sure I'll be ready to order! Thanks.

Hey gang, I wanted to try and ask one very specific question here. See if I get that right or I suffered a weird one-off. As a disclaimer, I'm about 65 shirts into PC, so I've been around for a second and seen a few changes and improvements This concerns the Franklin Spread Collar (but may...

Thanks guys, good ideas. StJ II criollo sounds killer, that screams to be made up in Optimum, for which I may not quite be ready yet. While I won't venture to a monk (need to grow a bit for that), I have given thought to the Isham for a derby ..

Hey gang Contemplating my next pair of G&G MTOs using the current promotion. Didn't think the next one would come around so quick. Trying to build out a versatile and practical collection, and I'm an oxford guy. My current G&G line-up which I am very happy with is: Oxford MH71 black, single...

Mad much? Again? I can 100% say that it's aniline, so it's no darkened voak. And it's not burgundy. It does look like this (from G&G facebook, captioned espresso), not so much certain other images: Surely light plays a role. But again, no one was mad about this in the first place.

Couple more shots after an initial soft shine. I think there was nothing on there at all. Interesting that I ordered the espresso aniline (supposed to be all-weather shoe), but the color still has some mahagony type tones. Wouldn't have picked it, but it's not unattractive. And this Kensington...

I requested the all-black sole indeed. No extra cost. The green and purple colored trees are fantastic, Masaichi let me pick - thanks to him! Price per was 160 GBP.

Just placed my first order for mtm tailored clothing - grey lightly canvassed 3roll2 fresco jacket and navy shaved cotton pants to get it going Incredibly curious to see how well they translate the input measurements, spent quite some time dialing these in to the quarter" after measuring all of...

Yeah, I'd definitely go black all day over tan, really don't like this conventional tan, it shows dark stains from friction and just is too contrasty and frankly, lame. Black should be with black by default, if not a color like red or so. Not sure how light and bright G&Gs red is. I love my...
