The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I’m over 40 and the no cyclops is a definite plus for me in terms of looks. I much prefer that to the Subs.

Whose “us” :puzzled: Anyway, Ben might want to start experiencing some lower cost brands as Hodinkee is in bad financial shape.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I like this. Reminds me of the old Genta retrogrades. Interesting movement design. Minus the “superleggera” on the dial and the Chanel price premium, this is something I would buy/wear...

I have the white one of these, might need to get this too but then again I have too many IWC already :bored:

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Do you like that watch? It looks like a Minions to me. I know Pages is “so hot right now” to the deep watch nerds but that’s an ugly watch. And if he is going to put screws in the dial (something I hate) at least have them facing the same way. And use the same pinion caps for the hands. It...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

a poorly stitched strap at that. Look at the white contrast stitching. Looks like Stevie Wonder did it. Has to be an aftermarket strap. Maybe after paying so much money for the watch, the owner could only afford a strap from Temu.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Raymond Weil is really hitting it out of the park recently. Not a fan of the moon face and the smaller minutes track but other than that, the independents can learn a thing or two about dials from them...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

AD’s are the biggest flippers. All those hard to find watches that you see on Chrono24/Ebay etc didn’t fall off the back of a truck (at least not all of them). There are currently a few hundred new Nautilus on chrono24. Some are probably fake/franken. Some are retail flippers. But most are...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

What in the world is going on with these indie watchmakers and their dials :confused2: :fu: Sometimes the wheel does not need to be reinvented. You have a great movement, great finishing, you don’t need gimmicks or offset small seconds, please stop this insanity. Edit: taking a second look...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

That dial is terrible. “Open hearts” should be banned from dials. And I know Frédérique Constant watches have been severely underwhelming historically, but they are putting out some nice stuff. They have a nice dress Chronograph, a salmon dialed dress watch which I think was posted here and...

OFFICIAL THREAD: General Cookery and Discussion

What was that thing he had strapped onto his right wrist? And when he was basting with the butter, it looked like the pan was cold :paranoia: it wasn’t sizzling or anything. Could that be @beargonefishing

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

One thing to keep in mind is that lug to lug distance (length) is more important for someone of your wrist size. Obviously a 46mm watch will look big on you no matter the lug to lug but a smaller diameter watch could look to big on you if it has long lugs. For example, this is a wide watch (I...

This guy might want to look into this thing called Ozempic.

    The Official Wine Thread

If you ever find yourself in a NY Costco, you won’t be able to buy wine but you can buy as many liter bottles of Kirkland Sangria as your heart desires.

Don’t get me started on that insanity :fu: Saw the first one. Applied the “fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me” axiom for the second movie.
