    Not sure whether lowering the heel 1/4" with the commando half sole is different than with another sole, but I have that set up (with the block heel) on my BH's and it's very comfortable. I won't ever order another standard heel.

     Sorry to hear that... Based on recent posts, it's been tough to tell what's been going on with build times. Have you spoken to anyone at White's directly about what might be creating the delay? It's one thing to be waiting on boots - reading this forum and seeing others get their boots...
