Allen Edmonds McGregor in chili calf. Not concerned with getting this to look perfect again, but I do want a solution that will last. Would prefer a DIY solution, but if a cobbler is the right answer then so be it.

Help! Stepped in a crack in the parking lot. Didn't see anything similar looking back through a bunch of pages here. Can anyone tell me what to do? Relative beginner here, detailed instructions, product information, or link to a tutorial would be helpful. Thanks.

I think that's a great boot. Almost got one last year, before I found the Alfred Sargeant Cambridge on sale.

@luxire any plans to restock fit-test pant fabrics? Choices are running thin.

    WAYWRN: Classic Menswear, Casual Style

There's gravy, and then there's gravy. You would never put the stuff they use in poutine on your biscuits. (Though I personally believe both brown and white have their proper uses.)

    Does not compute.

Boots Boots Boots - For Boot Guys Only

See thread title. What do you think will be the answer from a bunch of boot guys? I wear boots year round in CO. Good call on tan boots.

I like the style, but as the price suggests, these are cemented not welted.

    Meermin Mallorca Shoes

Yes but if you put only one in the bag, then there is always fabric between the two shoes. As long as you only pack one pair. Agreed.

    Meermin Mallorca Shoes

Could be that they view the primary purpose of shoe bags for use when traveling, so that the sole of one shoe doesn't mark the upper of the other. In that case, only one bag is necessary. Unless you travel with more than one pair of shoes packed in the same luggage, of course.

Boots Boots Boots - For Boot Guys Only

Yep, I like a tongue gusset, though I think of it mostly to keep out debris rather than water. Also, I'm not an expert in this area, but I would think all of the additional seams and brogueing in something like a wingtip would allow in more water. My Alico boots have the Norwegian welt and...

Boots Boots Boots - For Boot Guys Only

I love my Alico's that I bought last year. They can be found at Sierra Trading Post periodically for a good deal. Another great option would be Limmers. Or ideally, Limmer Custom.

Now I have to dress nice - Help

I am an engineer as well, so I understand the dilemma of how to dress as a style-conscious engineer, swimming in a sea of light-wash jeans and polos, black slacks and white sneakers. If you want inspiration, I suggest you check out the WAYWRN Casual thread and look at some of the most recent...

Wearing this overcoat directly over shirts?

I already voted yes. But I will add that this doesn't really look like an overcoat to me. Looks more like a trench coat or rain slicker. I don't see why you couldn't wear it with just a shirt. It is clearly casual enough (length, epaulets, material?). I think sometimes the forum here looks...
