    Acetate Glasses Discoloration.

I bought a pair of Garret Leight Hardings in Sage in April that I am extremely fond of. They are beautiful glasses, and the color perfectly suits my hair. However, I also routinely use a very large amount of anti-acne medication that, if left undisturbed, will bleach the frames...

    Online Prescription Glasses?

Has anyone ever had any experience with Framesemporium.com or Awesomeeyeglasses? I'm looking to get Oliver Peoples Sheldrake (or something equivalent-Cutler and Gross would be preferable) for around 450, including prescription. I don't trust either of these sites. Fastoptics seems terrifying-I...

Leather Sole Care/Life Expectancy, Hole in my boots' sole.

As a poor American student, sending them back to the UK to get resoled in the same manner seems hugely impractical. After 100 dollars and with the prospect that this might happen again, I would consider just giving up on them at that point. What are the disadvantages of a rubber half sole? I...

Leather Sole Care/Life Expectancy, Hole in my boots' sole.

120 dollars? I haven't seen that price tag anywhere. These shoes were a substantial investment for me, and I will do a lot to repair them. EDIT: Anyone know a great service in the Chicago Area?

Leather Sole Care/Life Expectancy, Hole in my boots' sole.

What would you suggest? You sound like you know a lot more about this than I do, though I admittedly know very little. Does a Good Year welt make it harder to resole? Also, does normal wear indicate that I'm not destroying these shoes by walking strangely? I really wanted these to last.

Leather Sole Care/Life Expectancy, Hole in my boots' sole.

Would the fact that it is Goodyear welted make it more difficult/expensive/longer for the repair process? Not possible to get a rubber sole?

Leather Sole Care/Life Expectancy, Hole in my boots' sole.

I appreciate all of this, but I think my case is a bit different for several reasons: 1) Two months. A hole. I don't think this is normal 2) From what I understand, Church's generally have a single sole, and do not have a reputation for durability, at least by boots standards. With that...

Fitted? I am new to all of this.

How much would a rubber sole cost?

Leather Sole Care/Life Expectancy, Hole in my boots' sole.

I thought that was just common sense. I've gone three-four days without wearing them on days after rainfall, and never wear them when it was raining. It was drizzling yesterday briefly, and I was on my feet almost all day, but this is...extreme. I wonder if I stepped on something?

Leather Sole Care/Life Expectancy, Hole in my boots' sole.

I don't have a reasonable chance of that, but at the same time I think I it was reasonable to not expect a hole at this point.

I am wondering if I could do that. I am really, seriously pissed right now. I loved these boots. Anyone know what the return policy is on Mr Porter?

Leather Sole Care/Life Expectancy, Hole in my boots' sole.

I'm a soon-to-be graduate who just invested in his first nice pair of shoes, a pair of Grenson's Sharp Boots; tan leather brogue boots with the double leather sole. http://www.grenson.co.uk/shop/sharp-189 I love the boots. I've yet to buy a shoe tree for them because I decided to wear them in a...

Getting Grensons, Not Sure About Sizing/Soles

The primary issue here is not the size, so much as the sole. I really want a boot sole so I can wear it when it is a bit icy, but the Sharps have a plain leather sole.

Getting Grensons, Not Sure About Sizing/Soles

So what are the odds that I would fit in to an 11? If it is about a 12.5, I might be, but if a 12 is really more like a normal 13 then that would be fine.

Getting Grensons, Not Sure About Sizing/Soles

Run large as in for a UK (making a 12 something like a 13.5) or running large for an American (making a 12 something like a 12)?

Getting Grensons, Not Sure About Sizing/Soles

Hey everybody, I have weirdly shaped feet. I was a big kid, and I think my feet splayed a bit, and I have a pretty high instep. I can fit in to an American 12-I wear Bass Saddle Shoes in a 12 with substantial difficulty, and fit perfectly in to Converse High-Tops after a month of blood...

    First Blazer/Suit-DB?

Really? In Manhattan, SBs outnumber DBs a thousand to one? That...changes my views on the subject, to be perfectly honest. I thought that they had come back to the extent that the number was approaching something more similar to 10-1, at least. I don't want to be a peacock that badly, at...

    First Blazer/Suit-DB?

Hello, I'm a soon-to-be College graduate looking to buy my first real suit-or rather, the first suit since I lost 130 pounds over the last four years. I'm 6'4, 190 pounds, with an abnormally long neck, big head, and long legs. I'm interested in getting a double-breasted blazer or suit in...
