I have these in walnut, and I like them a lot. They look good with jeans or a suit and are pretty durable. They're a half-brouge / cap-toe brogue.

AE Strand
Good shoe, possibly one of the few AE's that I would consider paying full price for. However, as with most AE's you can always find an in-store sale or eBay sale that will save you mucho dinero.

Cons: Possibly too ostentatious for some environments. Boring in non-walnut variants
I could not be happier with these. Get them in Walnut, and wear them with navy suits and light grey suits/pants, khakis and jeans. Enjoy getting daily compliments on them. It's rare to find a shoe this versatile that's not boring. And AE makes some quality products, so expect them to last (and get them remade when it comes time).
