I’m not sure I quite follow. Black shoes have been de rigueur in the UK for centuries and separates have been acceptable attire for far longer than matching suits. There is nothing incongruous about my question. In fact I’d argue the PoW check is actually rather conservative.- Poincare

Thanks, they are also mid-grey with no overcheck. I have ordered this suit from Suitsupply. I think the jacket could go with the trousers with a white shirt and club tie?- Poincare

What to wear with PoW check trousers
hello, I’ve just had some high waisted Prince of Wales check trousers made (VBC 110s) but am not sure what to wear with them. Would a navy jacket (flannel or worsted) work? I work in a conservative environment in the UK - black shoes are a must, but separates are permissible.- Poincare

I have quite a bold grey Prince of Wales check suit. I don't wear it very often because I've yet to find a shirt and tie combination that goes well. haha. I'd rather have the £18k + the replica than the calatrava tbh. I suppose it could have been a gift. He wasn't really into collecting watches as such. The dayona and the calatrava were gifts.- Poincare

Those Loake Strand are definitely my favourite out of those. I think burgundy would be more versatile than the other colours pictured.
