mitred end opened up fully. White lines show original length and new length. New length is closer to raw end of cuff because they're getting lengthened here. The diagonal white line is a sewing line.

This is new length line at the underarm seam of the sleeve.

You roll the turned under sleeve cuff to the line and press it here

Place a pressing pad inside the sleeve and see the new vent. press.

vent edges meet together and sleeve is lengthened. From here you put the buttons on and eventually reattach the sleeve lining.
