I'm all too familiar with tailoring antics like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emr49Xo-cpE
It's the same people in BK + Manhattan, so no difference. I have a midnight blue peak-lapel tux underway; coming along fantastically.
For your consideration - a gently worn pair of Alden RAVELLO Shell Cordovan NSTs - 9.5 B/D on the Aberdeen last. Purchased off the forum a couple years back and maybe worn 15 times since (on top of the 10 or so times initially). They haven't been worn in rain or other rough conditions. Developed a nice patina over the last couple of years. Otherwise stored w/ trees and shoe bags in a non-smoking home away from sunlight. This style + cordovan color combination is...
Nice - I'm glad someone is putting that barleycorn to use. Was real close to using it, but stuck w/ the W Bill donegal I had been eyeing.
Ercole's in the wild (right most). http://www.refinery29.com/where-to-meet-people/slideshow#slide-8
$220 shipped. In fantastic condition. Private-label Saks 5th Ave sportcoat made from 100% Columbo Travel Cashmere (this stuff holds up VERY well). Details - 3-2.5 roll, 3 patch pockets (traditional curved Neapolitan patches), double-vented, fully-lined, 3 button sleeves, pick-stitching throughout. Tagged a size 38, but it's properly a 38s. Here are the measurements - Chest - 21" pit-to-pit Shoulders - 17.5" seam-to-seam Length - 28.75" bottom of collar to hem Sleeves...
MARINELLAS SOLD; T&A AVAILABLE STILL Need to clean out my closet of all sorts of stuff. Here are three barely worn Marinella and T&A ties. Each worn no more than 4-5 times (bought new) and without any pulls, stains or holes. Price (including continental US shipping) is $45 for each Marinella ($85 for both) and $30 for the T&A ($105 for all three). Note that the Marinella's have the tags cut out like many sold online. They are absolutely first quality, however. Also note...
This thing has literally never been worn. I bought it at South Willard over Labor Day Weekend, and it's very much been in my closet on a hanger. It's a perfect staple piece that's just too small on me. Totally sold out at South Willard (and a few other places I've inquired at) - http://www.southwillard.com/collections/fall-2012/crescent-down-works-for-south-willard/olive-6040-italian-vest $200 SHIPPED
You'll get a ton of mileage out of it in/around SF. I wear just the jacket more often than as the full suit. Here it is (from when I first had it made up by Ercole's last year) -
Anyone know if any US stockists have the Bedford in olive twill? I've been hunting for weeks and have come up empty so far (other than Inventory, and they're charging a nice premium for it).
