Yeah if you can tuck you shirt in easily like that it's at least a size too big
it looks like poo
Np. I'm not familiar with neuw but I'm willing to guess they are sanforized. Unsanforized denim typically has a rougher appearance than what I'm seeing on the their website. At the risk of sounding elitist (I don't own any unsanforized stuff, mind you), unsanforized denim is more of a novel product that appeals more to the denimhead crowd than consumers with just a curiosity in raw denim. If you think about it this way, a mass market product would not bother with the...
Soaking prior to wearing is only for unsanforized denim which will shrink more dramatically with the first wash. These are generally your japanese brands. Most american and european brands sell sanforized denim which will only shrink marginally, so washing prior to wear is not advised. Warm washing tends to cause more indigo loss and shrinkage so most people prefer to cold wash when the time comes. To further prevent dye loss when washing, use something like Woolite extra...

$450 'upgrade' on lvr
I like those PH Leeroy. I recently picked up the plain all white velcro highs (no side zip) and the leather quality and construction was dramatically better than on the pair I saw in person 3 years ago. MUCH heavier than they look and the leather is just a little less supple than my achilles' (2009).
Are the derbies this season the 'cadet' model with the long white heel tab? If so, is it possible to tuck the tabs in all the way so that they are not visible? Im trying to decide if they're usable for dressier purposes
Yeah i dont blame you...cp sizing is kinda strange. I have the redwing work chukka. The last pair of nikes I owned were a 9.5 or 10 spiridon about 8 years ago (but i have friends who size up on nike). My current runners are size 9 asics.
you're talking about the derbies not achilles right? I dont know how the derbies fit compared to achilles but I'm a US 9/9.5 in most sneakers (9 in vans, 9 in red wings, 9.5 adidas, 9.5/10 nike) and 42 achilles fit me perfectly. I don't have wide feet either. A lot of people on here seem to agree to size down on cps but theres also a lot of us who just go tts and it works fine. Please let us know how the derbies fit!edit: also ime, nikes run .5 to 1 size large
