I think that the color looks pretty cool; and not feminine. You can go ahead and buy the bag and this bag of Briggs & Riley comes with their lifetime warranty too.
+1 for Briggs & Riley. Excellent lifetime warranty (http://www.briggs-riley.com/simple-a...time-warranty/) that even covers airline damage and great customer service!
How about this Briggs & Riley messenger bag? I just love its cool, classy looks. It's not made from canvas but CORDURA brand of nylon, which is one of the most durable fabrics used to manufacture bags. Although it's a little more than your budget, I would pick it up for its name brand, quality, and its incredible lifetime warranty.
Charles, the Briggs & Riley U374 looks like a great bag. I have been using the Briggs & Riley Verb Fuse 20" (http://www.briggs-riley.com/category...pright_VBU420C) for some time now and it's been delightful. The Outsider handle system works very well to minimize wrinkling of clothes. As for ballistic nylon, it's amongst the most used luggage fabrics because of its light weight and abrasion resistant property, which makes luggage durable. Even if something was to happen to...
+ 1 for Briggs & Riley's amazing lifetime warranty that even covers airline damage - free of charge! Coming back to the original question, I think it makes a lot of sense to get a suitcase with a built-in or separate garment sleeve such as this BR 24" expandable upright (http://www.briggs-riley.com/category...right_TD-U524X). Its built-in garment sleeve can easily hold up to four hanging clothes. The Outsider handle system will ensure that your nicely ironed clothes do not...
I bought the Verb Fuse carry-on computer upright from Briggs & Riley a few weeks back and reviewed it on this forum. http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?p=2997141 But looking at your requirements, you don't need a carry-on with a laptop section. However, you may want to check out this 20" wide body carry-on expandable (http://www.briggs-riley.com/category...Upright_U420XW). It's an ideal size for carry-on bags for both domestic and international flights. In terms...
I have been a Briggs and Riley customer for the last couple of months and I think you should take a look at their carry-on luggage (http://www.briggs-riley.com/category...spx?cat=travel) collection. I know you said in your post that you don't really like nylon, but believe me BR bags are extremely graceful. Besides, they make their bags from an exceptionally strong grade of nylon that is guaranteed to last you a long time. Besides, you'll just love their "Simple as that"...
Hi, guys. I wanted to update you all that I received my Briggs and Riley Verb Fuse computer upright this week and it's just awesome! It looks even better in person than it did in pictures. I couldn't help letting out a whistle when I opened the package - it is sleek and the shiny black body looks great. Here's a low-down on my "╦ťfirst impression' of the bag. Things I loved: 1. The specs said that the bag weighed 8.8 lbs. I couldn't believe how light it felt when I...

Saimike, I have been following Flyertalk as well and the threads over there and Styleforum helped me finally decide on Briggs and Riley Verb Fuse. I think both these forums are great avenues to do some serious research on luggage!
I have finally placed an order for the 20" Verb Fuse on the Briggs and Riley website. It should be delivered to me sometime next week. I am really excited about the bag and can't wait to use it for my next trip. I'll post my experience once I return from my first trip with the bag!
