I suffer from Heart Arrhythmia and am being repeatedly harrassed by my acting landlord from hell who's trying to evict me on nothing but malicious lies. I have contacted my attorney as well as having seen my doctor 3 times in the last 2 weeks for severe stress.Somebody hold my hand too please.

A serious moment if I may; Allen Edmonds should have a CEO line. Call it the 'Grangard Line'. Paul certainly deserves this recognition for the impressive turn-around he and his staff have achieved with the product and company. This line should have 7 essential models. My suggestions would be a Plain toe wholecut, Plain Cap toe, Brogued Cap Toe, Austerity Shortwing, Monk Strap, Brogued Wingtip boot in Scotchgrain, Cap Toed boot. The line should be on par or better than...
This is half of my dress shirts. If I started over, I would never own more than 40 shirts.
My peacoat is navy. If navy did not exist, my second choice would be charcoal grey. If charcoal greay did not exist, I would not purchase a peacoat.
Think of a. Testoni as being (arguably) on par with Allen Edmonds or thereabouts. Between the two, I would opt for AE. Then again I am an ardent AE supporter and so therefore biased. I own only the one pair of a. Testoni loafers so perhaps there are others that will yet contribute further thought on your question.
To my understanding, regardless of the welt method, if the soles are straight out of the box, their unused finish is too smooth for reliable adhesion to the sole guard. Scuffing up the soles and sole guards allows for better adhesion between the two when fastened together via the cobblers glue (cobblers contact cement). (For lurking newcomers TOPY, Vibram, EMU, etc. are brand names. A generic term is sole guard.)
