Not just clothes.
I've been debating this very question, as I live a couple thousand kilometres from the nearest store that would have such things. I think I'm going to wait until the next time I'm in the area rather than risk a poor fit.
For something a little different, check out Icebreaker: http://www.icebreaker.com/site/icebr...0_mayfair.html I have one of these. It looks very fashion forward and asymmetrical in the photo, but that inside lapel can be folded down for a more traditional look (other than the hidden buttons), or the outside lapel can be pulled up and buttoned at the top for extra warmth. It has a wind-proof membrane and a zipper under the buttons to keep you nice and toasty. The zipper...
That's a pretty cool blog. Direct link: http://theivyleaguelook.blogspot.com/
I just ordered a suit from Thick As Thieves (www.thickasthievesla.com); I'll let you know. That's one brand, at least, that has been discussed quite a lot on these forums, and a quick forum search will tell you a lot. I've never heard of aTailoredSuit, but don't let that deter you - I'm new to this world of suits. I did read a positive article on another forum about A Suit That Fits, but I haven't done any further research on it. Indochino has mixed reviews: quality seems...
T.M. Lewin is good for cheap but decent shirts, and they have a slim fit line in two collar styles. http://www.tmlewin.co.uk/ The prices are great, but watch out for the customs charges if you're in North America - I got a $100 (Canadian$) customs bill on a $360 order recently.
I recently picked up the shirt in the attached photo. It's pretty fun, and I'm looking forward to trying it out, but none of my ties goes with it. Any suggestions for a complementary tie, other than a solid purple like the one in the photo?

I do agree, though, that there's too much pull at the top button, and I asked Jason for less of that.
FYI, I took the plunge and ordered a 3-button suit much like the one pictured. The photo is of a suit in TAT's "standard" medium grey wool. I went with the "upgraded" medium grey wool, which is better quality, a bit more lightweight, and a slightly lighter colour. Aside from a few details, my order is otherwise the same as the photo. I'll be sure to post pictures when it arrives. Thanks for all the advice everyone!
Excellent. Thanks for all the advice, everyone.
