I'm a huge fan of 5/3/1. It is my default lifting program. I've done 5x5, push pull routines, west coast barbell among many others. I always seem to go back to this routine and make my best gains on this routine. All my current PR's have been set on 5/3/1 as well. I usually run this routine for 3-4 full cycles. I found for me I always take what my max is on my last week and use that to calculate my new week. Unless I don't hit my goal that week (which has only...
Honestly give it a try. I would start at monohydrate cause it's the most proven as well as being the cheapest. If it bloats you up just stop and you haven't wasted much money. But again I really think people who experience bloating don't have their diet down. Then they throw in some creatine and it emphasizes there high sodium and/or carbohydrate diet that causes water retention. If you're already eating clean which it sounds like you are you probably won't experience...
CEE is just over priced creatine and is not as effective. There are lots of studies out there that talk about this. I'm to lazy to find them but google it and I'm sure you can find some more. As for bloating I really believe that diet has everything to do with bloating and little to do with creatine, while yes I know it causes water retention my weight does little to change as well as how bloated I feel/look. However sodium turns me into the state puff marshmellow man....
As a power lifter I really feel supplements are over used in the fitness community. I have tried many different supps over my two year span of training and this is what I found works and is worth money. The rest were just companies that offered something they couldn't deliver except for making my wallet lighter. My supps are as followsWhey Protein - for after your workout. Don't use it to replace real food unless you're on a cut.Multi-vitamin - everyone should be taking...
