All the purple hate puzzles me. The swatch has reds and blues. It is vivid and charming. No, you won't 'blend in,' but nowadays no one with well-made, well-fitted clothing really does. What's wrong with linings? If our insides matched our outsides, the world would be a much less comfortable place. I have one vintage bespoke New York-tailored wool robe. It is lined. One fabulous silk robe made for the Alan Flusser Custom Shop I sold last year had a lining and an interlining. The only issue with a quilted lining could be a slight stiffness throughout the body and sleeves of the garment.
