Ummm inappropriate? I wear waterproof Timberlands on a rainy day, and I don't have to worry about my nice shoes (in your case, I guess it would be boat shoes, but whatever floats your boat) getting wet or smelling funny.

Gap, H&M and Banana Republic, but then you have to deal with the fact that you bought your shirt at Gap, H&M or Banana Republic. I'd rather wear a Ralph Lauren and not worry about it.

You seem to have it pretty bad. But I remember I decided to "wing it" on my first college midterm ever. I got a D on that test and decided to never wing it again.
