oh, you're not alone my man.On the topic of rolex dials, not sure if I've said this before, but in the late 80s and early 90s my dad was a commercial pilot and flew often to Switzerland.Back then rolex was a lot more laissez-faire with modifications from stock - dad remembers clearly being led to a room with a huge selection of cut stone dials in jasper, onyx, carnelian etc, with and without diamond hour markers. You could also swap bracelets with no problem, and he ended...
Won't happen, sorry. This ain't Subway.I think the 1931 is a little too big for your wrist. Sorry. That said, I think the GT sized case is actually better proportioned than the GRUT case - the dial aperture is more proportionate IMO, and the GRUT is perhaps a shade too long.Amongst the GTs, there are no dials AFAIK that resemble the TTR1931. You may wish to consider the 2nd hand market for some more interesting/quirky options in GT/steel, like the Reverso Day Date.Or how...

E.g. A north facing window with bright indirect light all day.Do you want flowers, a more sprawling or more narrow growth habit?I know it's a pain in the proverbial but the reason why so many people...
Nah, I don't know for sure. And even if it were so, life's too short to be vindictive about things like this. I hope whoever got the watch enjoys it.
Ehhh, you won't believe it - just got contacted by the seller to tell me that the purchase is cancelled because he apparently already sold the watch an hour prior. And this is after the watch was marked "on hold" all day with my initials on his website. It all smells and I feel that I've been - we call it getting gazumped here in Australia - when a seller accepts your offer, but then down the track reneges when a higher offer comes in. Oh well. Anyway, it was this watch:
Well, let's say it was a particularly well timed value proposition.
Just impulse bought a watch this morning while brushing my teeth. Am halfway between and
