Hi, I am from Montreal and recently was in Chicago for a business trip. While I was there, I went to Nordstrom to buy a pair of Santoni (Model Brenden in black). I have only wear them twice and the sole of the right foot shoe makes a very annoying sound when I walk (like a creaking sound near or from the heal). Hi, I was not exactly in the same boat than you but still, I had a lot of weight to loose. I was 248 for 6'1".
